It has been quite a while since I updated this blog, since June 07 I believe. However, from now on I will put in more effort in keep this journal updated. Why? This is because this will mark the New Phase in my life.

31 Aug 2007 was the last day of my service in the company which I had served for more than a decade. ‘Why do I have to do that?’, some may ask. There are many reasons but the most compelling one is that I had always wanted to by my own boss, doing things I like to do. ‘Why now, after having been in the company for so long?’, others may ask. Well, there is never a good time.

Throughout my stay in the company I had been through good times, and bad ones too, but I must say there were more good times for me. I have had the opportunity to grow from being a team member in the department to leading a team in the same department.

I am fortunate to have good bosses and colleagues who guided, encouraged and supported me, for this I must really THANK them!

I had also met a lot of really nice people in the company, and some of us had also become very good friends. Throughout my stay in the company I had witnessed many of my friends and colleagues leaving in pursue of a better prospect somewhere else, but with that there are new ones who joined and with whom I had also become very good friends with.

The decision to leave a company that I had spent so much time with was not an easy one because this means starting afresh all over again in a totally strange new place. And for my case this strange new place is my pursuance to become my own boss.
